Late Spring half term – 5 workshops Mar-Apr 2022

All are welcome to come and sing with People of Note community choir for the second half of our Spring term 2022! Our newly appointed leader Rosie Sleightholme will be running 5 sessions, working on songs over the weeks. You’ll need to keep your wits about you as the half term is being split between St Paul’s, Southville, and Tyndale Baptist Church on Whiteladies Road.
The sessions start at 7.30pm and we ask you to be there in good time to register and settle in.
Rosie will start properly leading the choir in September 2022, and will be leading these 5 sessions and a further 7 sessions in the Summer term. We’re keeping things flexible over this transition period, so – whilst it’s preferable to come for the whole block so you won’t miss any teaching (especially if you want to perform with us at the Choir Convention, see below) – if you can’t make all the sessions, it’s possible to book onto individual sessions. You will get access to learning tracks to listen to at home.
Over these 5 weeks we will be working on two main songs to perform at the South West Community Choir Convention on 3rd April. Anyone attending our sessions who wants to come to the Choir Convention will have their ticket paid for by us. It’s also fine if you just want to come and sing with us over these weeks and not come to the Choir Convention!
We’d love new and old members to come and sing with us as we begin our new journey with our wonderful new leader. We are a Natural Voice choir, meaning that all songs are taught by ear and there is no need to read music. We sing songs from all over the world, and Rosie’s main aim is to bring people together to experience the joy of singing in harmony.
We hope to sing with you soon!
